And what happened to these folks?
Also on the media front: A couple of departures at the Gazette went more or less unnoticed recently. One was that of William Federman, who came to the paper amidst much fanfare a year or so ago to be editor of the editorial page. Within the last six weeks, he vanished as did his name from the masthead without explanation.
Also gone is Judith Cameron, long-time reporter and newsroom workhorse, who covered every beat imaginable for the paper and its readers, including the long-running Heritage Bank and Kristen Gilbert federal court trials. She also kept readers abreast of the reconstruction work on the Coolidge Bridge and wrongdoing at certain social service agencies, such as Tapestry. She deserved a hearty public well-done as she went out the door.
They joined the earlier-departed Judson Brown among what in Latin America are called the disappeared, people whose conflict with the authorities cause them to evaporate or dissolve without a trace.
